We will be open on the days noted below at:St Georges Post 16 Centre, Great Hampton Row, Birmingham B19 3JG. Map
All volunteers, new and old, must attend an induction before being allowed to volunteer at Christmas. We will be limiting volunteer numbers to 50 per shift; these will be allocated on a first come/first served basis. Shifts will be negotiable but we envisage asking for volunteers to commit to shifts as follows:
- 7am – 12pm
- 12pm – 5pm
- 5pm – 10pm
- 10pm
+ (some volunteers may choose to stay only a couple of hours, but there
will always be three security guards, a Trustee and an Area Supervisor at the shelter
for the night shift).
If you have any specialist skills which would be of value to our guests (e.g. hairdressing, dentistry, chiropody, manicures, reflexology), would you kindly make us aware of these.
