OLD SCOTCH LOCAL DERBY (aka "a day on the main") Saturday, 13th December On December 13 from 1pm at the College's Main Oval, the Scotchies (1stXI vs 2ndXI) will battle it out under a setting of marquees, music, food and drinks. After the disappointment of a washed out Derby last year, the anticipation of this highly anticipated showdown is reaching fever pitch. Even the most seasoned cricket lover is buzzing with an anticipation not seen since the spice girls came to Australia in January 1998, for a promotion-only tour that saw them venturing to Highpoint for a screening of their movie Spice World. Full details will be announced soon, but gourmet BBQ, beer, wine and champagne will be on offer, and relaxed but classy summer wear will be the theme of the day. Afterwards it will be onto the Bridge Hotel to kick on the festivities. Any enquiries about this event should be directed to the Social President - pbutler@oldscotchcc.com.au
