This service checks OpenDocument Format files for conformance with certain requirements and recommendations of the OpenDocument Format specification. Errors reported by this service only indicate that a file may not conform to the specification.

A stylesheet is available which takes the ODF specification from an Oasis server and generates Docbook XML (another Oasis standard) suitable for specifying a test for each paragraph of the spec. The spec references are numbered and with the first n characters of content shown for checking. Once completed, this XML document may be transformed into HTML or PDF to produce a test specification.
