The original Object People Established in 1989 the original Object People company was founded by Carleton University Professors John Pugh, Wilf Lalonde, and Paul White. The company grew to some 110+ employees and offices located in Canada, the U.S., the U.K, Germany, and Turkey. The company headquarters was in Ottawa, Canada. In April 2000, the consulting and training services were sold to BEA Systems and the TOPLink product team went WebGain. WebGain in turn was acquired by Oracle. In 2008, Oracle initiated a process to also acquire BEA Systems. For more information:
