The VCNST organizing committee is proud to initiate the Young Scientist Award, to help identify outstanding work by conference youth attendees. All the VCNST08 attendees under 35 years old, as an author or co-author of a conference submission may become eligible candidates for the Young Scientist Award by attaching a letter of application (with a resume and a list of publications) together with their conference abstracts. The first priority is candidates who are first authors of accepted abstracts. The award winner must show current outstanding performance and promise for future substantial achievement in conducting nanoscale research. The excellent standard and criteria will be overseen and maintained by the attending members of the VCNST organizing committee.
