The National Writing Project is the largest professional development network in the country, and currently has 185 local sites, including the West Texas Writing Project in El Paso. NWP is a federally funded nonprofit, and is listed in the No Child Left Behind catalog of models for comprehensive school reform. Its site management team of university educators and classroom teachers reflects our belief in the synergy of research and classroom experience.
