Please read this entire letter as it pertains to senior pictures and the yearbook.

 

Congratulations! You have made it to senior year. Can you believe it is here already? Below is important information about senior pictures. Please read it carefully.

 

North Gwinnett’s official school photographer is Photographic Arts located in Alpharetta, Georgia. In order to be in the yearbook, your senior must have his or her picture taken at the Photographic Arts studio. Please disregard anything else you have heard from other studios. I realize that you have received letters from competitors stating that they will submit yearbook pictures to me. This is not true. If you choose to go to another studio for Senior Pictures, your student will still have to go to Photographic Arts and sit for a formal for the yearbook. You will be getting a brochure in the mail from Photographic Arts on pricing and other information or you can also visit their web site at www.schoolpix.biz.

 

About Photographic Arts

PA has been our official school photographer for the last three years. We have been so pleased with the quality of their work and customer service. To accommodate our needs, they have a scenic outside area for casuals, two floors of studio space, and will give out actual picture proofs as opposed to laser print outs. They also offer a variety of back drops and special effects.

 

Money! Money! Money!

PA offers a variety of packets and pricing. If you are thinking about another studio, I encourage you to compare pricing; Whereas PA does not change for touch ups and other special effects, other local studios charge extra. Additionally, you will find PA prices to be up to 20% cheaper than other studios. Please disregard any information you hear–via mail or word of mouth–that is different from what I have explained in this letter. Appointments

Although you may book an appointment any time, North Gwinnett Week is June 16^th -21^st? Please call 678-393-1719 for an appointment or go online to book your appointment at www.schoolpix.biz. The deadline for having your senior photo taken is August 1, 2008.  You should receive your proofs 4-6 weeks from your sitting date, please make your yearbook selection and return it to Photographic Arts by September 1^st. At this point Photographic Arts delivers all of the pictures to the yearbook staff to get ready for submission to the publishing plant. NO senior portrait sitting will be accepted after August 1^st, NO senior picture selection will be accepted after September 1st.  We cannot make any exceptions.  When we miss our deadlines, we risk having to pay penalties and we risk having the yearbook delivered to the school too late to distribute to the students before summer vacation.  We cannot risk this inconvenience to the entire student body and staff.

 

Senior Ads

Senior Ad pricing and ordering information will be mailed to you this summer. Make sure to fill out an order for a quick turn around CD from Photographic Arts if you plan on putting one of your senior pictures in your senior ads. This form will be in your proof packet that you will receive 4-6 weeks after your portrait sitting. Due to early Senior Ad deadlines you may not have the senior pictures back in time to submit them.
