Course Description: AP United States History conforms to College Board topics and is designed for student mastery of the College Board national exam given in May. The course explores the Settlement and Colonial Societies of North America, the American Revolution, the U.S. Constitution and New Republic, the Ages of Jefferson and Jackson, Manifest Destiny and Sectionalism, the Civil War and Reconstruction, the Gilded Age, Progressive Era, World War I, the Great Depression, World War 2, the Cold War, the Civil Rights Movement, and a decade-by-decade analysis of American history from 1950 to the present.
