Branch Update
Hi,  We are having a little change in Northern RF&B - it is called 'adapting to the circumstances'. Some of you may be in the same circumstances: where there are pockets of environmental issues in your area all quite spread apart.

Under the umbrella of the Northern Branch we cover from Dargaville on the West Coast to Tutukaka/Ngunguru on the East Coast, to Mangawhai South and below Kawakawa up North.
The strongest activity is in the country areas - Whangarei Centre itself has taken on more of an administrative role.

The Bream Bay/Ruakaka/Waipu group has become the most active over the last year we have decided to shift the Northern Branch headquarters out to Waipu. So now we have a combined committee, in theory, of 13 people.  We still have to work out the minor details, like social meetings perhaps twice a year for the whole district for a shared meal. Everybody seems very happy with the arrangements and we have the backing of Suzi Phillips our Executive mentor.

We will continue to put together a monthly Rambles calender to get out and about to various areas in our area.  Check out the "Events" section of this website to see the details.  If you have any interesting places in mind, please let us know.

It would be a good idea to have an 'Area Activities' site so that different members can write what is happening in their area- will get back to you on that. Keep the trees growing,
Bev Woods Secretary
