On Thursday June 25, 2009 we will be having a seminar in room 4359ME at 2:30pm. Michael Floyd will be giving a talk on two papers he will be presenting at the International Conference on Case-Based Reasoning in July. Both papers will be related to learning from demonstration and agent imitation. |

Title: Discovering concepts and rules via Formal Concept Analysis(FCA).
FCA
is a mathematical theory based on the formalization of concept and
concept hierarchy. It started in Darmstadt in the 80ies and has quickly
established as theory for conceptual data analysis, pattern management
and discovering. In the presentation we will discuss how FCA is used to
discover concepts and association rules.

A new version of U-P2P, our file-sharing client, has been released. A number of bugs have been fixed and its architecture has been overhauled for better re-usability. The binary release and the User Guide are available from our Sourceforge page.

Edgar Acosta will give a presentation of SQLite on Thursday June 12th 4359ME. We'll also brainstorm on whether or how SQLite (or other DB persistence schemes) can help componentize and simplify applications.
