Go through 2 traffic lights and the school is just beyond the Administration Office and Station Avenue Elementary School. Enter the first entrance to the school. Drive to the end and park. The computer lab is located in the lower Math wing and the exterior door at that end of the building will be open. 1 Credit Course Credits through Salem State Out of district fee $250.00 Course Prerequisites: None Course Description: This 1 credit course will teach students to use Smartboards™ and Smart Notebook™ software. Students will learn to capture and save notes and drawings written on the SmartBoard™ or at their desktop computer. They will import graphics, texts and multimedia elements into Notebook files or export files to .html, .pdf and PowerPoint® as a series of images. Like a conventional paper notebook, Smart Notebook™ stores information on a series of pages. With the Smart Notebook™™ software Gallery and increase curriculum content with over 5000 images, audio and video, Macromedia Flash and Notebook software lesson activities. In this course students will create Smart Notebooks, learning all the notebook functions. software students will learn to move, copy and insert information on a page or from one page to another. Instructional Objectives: · Examine examples of Smart Notebooks™ and then create their own · Learn how to create, rename and move pages · Insert shapes, pictures, text, audio and video files · Learn to search and choose templates, images and inter-activities · Change the properties of objects in Notebook · Create hyperlinks and attach files in Notebook · Learn to save, export and print in Notebook · Learn to record Smart Notebook Lessons and post them to the web · Learn to use the Activity Toolkit Course Agenda: The instructor will demonstrate the various functions of the SmartBoard™ and Smart Notebook™ software and students will be given the opportunity to work with the boards and the software. |
