His work has been featured on the NASA, "Astronomy Picture of the Day" (APOD) site, and has been published in both the "Sky & Telescope" and "Astronomy" magazines. Other credits include work in the Timothy Ferris PBS documentary, "Seeing in the Dark".
Most recently, he was a featured speaker at the "Astro Imaging Conference" (AIC) in San Jose, an annual event targeted towards astrophotographers wanting to learn more about the techniques used for advanced image processing.
He is a member of the organization, the "Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston" (ATMoB), and is an active participant in ATMoB's public outreach programs ("Star Parties"). These are events organized with schools and other interested organizations, where ATMoB members bring
their telescopes directly to the school or organization for viewing by students and interested parents.
In his day job, Neil is the Director - Project Management Office, for Lumigent Technologies, Inc., a firm specializing in audit software for databases and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
