If you don't know where you are going, all paths will get you there. It seems a bit trite but it is really true. So that we can make sure we choose a path that is best for the Mount Vernon neighborhood, we have embarked on a new path - and the first step is to understand Mt. Vernon.
In November of 2005, the Mt. Vernon Neighborhood Association, with facilitation help from Jo McDermot of the Omega Community Development Center, held its first visioning workshop. As a neighborhood we spent several hours outlining the strengths and weaknesses of our community.
