Do ask your student about the Steinbeck novel, The Red Pony; Monday we have a cumulative vocabulary Test on Units 1-3 in the Sadlier-Oxford book. We spent a fair amount of time reviewing last week. We are continuing to absorb a new type of dynamic reading style. Mastery will not be achieved by many of us for a month, but we hope to break old habits of reading that slow down our comprehension. Do ask your child about using a 'pacer' to read. We have begun our next writing assignment and hopefully, everyone has a rough draft to show me by Tuesday, the 10th.
