ED Basics
- Resident Roles: Fourth Year, Third Year, Second Year, Intern
- STEMI: 10am - 7pm call CATH LAB (45881) : 7pm - 10am call AMAC (43611)
- STROKE: Call AMAC (43611) who will notify Stroke Team, CT (STAT), Lab (STAT), Pharmacy (TPA).
- HYPOTHERMIA Alert: Call AMAC (43611) who will notify CCU Fellow (mscardio), Neuro (2545), Frontera
- MICU CONSULTS: Call AMAC (43611) who will notify MICU resident and track consult.
- Resus Criteria
- Critical Care Supplies
- Central Line Documentation: be sure to document Maximal Sterile Barrier use.

Specific Patient Issues
- Deaf Patients: Must be offered an interpreter.  Call PSL or operator.
- Sickle Cell -> Page Heme Fellow on admission/ ?every visit
- Hemophilia PTs -> Masterlist of Factor deficiencies in Attg Office
- Sexual Assault (Code 11): Call SW and then AMAC to reach SAVI and the SAFE examiner.
- Acute Pain: Available if needed, are the Pain Service (2738) and Palliative Care (9399 or 917-632-6906 after hours).

- Deaths: Contact Family, PMD, Medical Examiner(212) 447-2030 (criteria) and NY Organ Donor.
- Death Certificates: use the web-based application on the right-most computer facing Resus (instructions).

ID Approval
- Hours: 9 am – 5 pm. (Fill out form after 5pm per pharmacy on 4/9/08)
- If ID unavailable -> call pharmacy to release drug

Methadone Clinic
- Harlem East Life Plan 2369 2nd Avenue (212) 876-2300
- NRC: closed

Expediting Admission
- Overcrowding: Surge criteria. Diversion criteria.

- TO BE CLEAN --> Call transport at 44443 to ensure they know bed needs to be cleaned
- Trustees: If one of these folks arrives, notify President's office and Robin Solomon (85574).

- Internal Medicine Associates (IMA): our BAs can make appointments for patients at discharge.
- Sinai Specialty Clinics: our BAs should be able to make appointments as of 4/17/08.

- Boriken Neighborhood Health: Sliding Scale
- EHOPP: No health insurance, >22 yo, and Residents of East Harlem
- Metropolitan Psych Clinic
