7E - Create your own Bayeux Tapestry

posted Feb 24, 2009 4:29 AM by Mr Belshaw
Your lesson objective today is to tell the story of 1066 in as much detail as possible. You will use the Historic Tale Construction Kit in order to make your story. You will email it to Mr Belshaw when you have finished.

You MUST:

Explain what happened at the start of 1066, the Battle of Stamford Bridge and the Battle of Hastings.

You SHOULD:

Include extra details such as the comet in the sky at the start of 1066, why the claimants wanted to invade England, where they were from, etc.

You COULD:
Be biased towards one side and tell the story from one points of view (like the real Bayeux Tapestry!)

1. Go to the Historic Tale Construction Kit
2. Use at least 4 frames to tell the story of 1066 (drag-and-drop images & add text)
3. Click on Email to a Friend and fill in the boxes as shown to the right.
4. Let Mr Belshaw know you've finished and he may let you play this game about 1066!
