Introduction

First of all, we need to understand how to use Flash, which allows us to create animations for the Internet. The following guide, split up into relevant sections should help you. Work through it in order please!

Look in the 'Attachments' section at the bottom for the files. You may want to download them all to your 'My Documents' folder or a memory stick to make your life easier...
  1. Orientation - find out what the different parts of the screen are for.
  2. Timeline - discover how to create more than a static image.
  3. Tweens and layers - find out how to make your animation move and 'layer' elements.
  4. Keyframes and Motion - take control of your animation using keyframes.
  5. Text - discover what you can do to make your text look more impressive.
