Educational Projects

2007 - 2009Application for Norwegian funding for the DIVA project: Dissemination and Valorisation of ecological values in the architectural profession in Romania. The project seeks to initiate new adult training courses at the Order of Romanian Architects, new university courses at the Polytechnic University in Timisoara and a series of workshops with Romanian NGO partners.
since 2007Organized (in collaboration with prof. Julio Cesar and Audun Engh) two C.E.U. tours and workshops to Cuba with in total 70 participants. The workshops sketched out alternative plans for the future social and economical development of the harbor of Havana. A third tour and workshop will follow in 2009. 
since 2006Developed and secured EU funding (in collaboration with partners) for the EDUAC - Educational Dissemination in Urbanism, Architecture and Crafts project. The project is an extension of the ESUA project.
2005 - 2008Organized (in collaboration with partners) various educational workshops within the framework of the ESUA project, in Italy, Romania, Norway and Germany, focusing on local heritage and urban development. Developed the project and secured EU funding for it (in collaboration with partners). The project had 12 partner organizations in seven European countries. The project produced a new curriculum for architectural education. The ultimate project aim is to start a new network-based school or architecture in Europe.
2005 - 2007Organized (in collaboration with partners) various summer schools in Laslea and Bran in Romania on traditional restoration crafts and town planning.
2006Organized (in collaboration with Audun Engh and Arne Sødal) an exhibition on Norwegian wooden architecture and construction techniques at the Norwegian embassy in Berlin, Germany.
2003 - 2004Research project on prefabrication of wooden buildings (assisting prof. Knut Larsen and 2.prof. Finn Hakonsen).
