Current News 23 September 2009 Hi there students and friends, One month has almost passed since the first day of Fall Term. It's gone by quickly. I'm very pleased with the way that the Student Senate has grown so far and hope that it continues to do so. I want to thank those students that have been coming to meetings who are not Senators yet and especially those of you who came this past Wednesday to watch the platform speeches. Please keep telling your friends and classmates about the Student Senate and let them know that becoming a Student Senator is very easy and is an excellent opportunity for leadership experience. There will be a Technology Committee meeting next Tuesday, September 29 at 10 am in the Student Senate Office. If anyone is interested in being on this committee please let me or President Malaskee- Gaviidae know. We will be discussing possibilities for technological advancement and change on campus as well as the possibility for a student run and operated radio station. I also plan on having a Technology Fee Presentation prepared by the Student Senate Meeting on Wednesday, October 7th. I want to clearly and concisely be able to breakdown the $10/credit Technology Fee that we each pay with our tuition. I hope to see you all and many more at the meeting this Wednesday! Yours, Interim Director of Technology Nicole Jennings |
