MBSEF coaches Summit Mt. Thielson and snowboard down.

Coaches Adam Sather, Eric Jackson, and Kevin Prieto went on an incredible backcountry adventure on Wed. April 22nd. The three began their journey at 730am to enjoy the beauty of Mt. Thielson and the surrounding area. With no expectations the crew found that the summit was accessible allowing 360 degree cascade views. After eating lunch on the needle like point, the coaches sent out on an epic ride down the steep terrain. After slashing through the steep shoots and bowl, they traversed slushy snow through the woods to navigate back to the main road. About a mile walk down the road and the three had completed their excursion. This trip was an experience these guys will never forget and was Kevin's first backcountry summit. Check out the photos!

MBSEF End of Season BBQ bring a friend day

Sunday, May 19th MBSEF put on a super fun bring a friend BBQ on snow at the Junior Race Center. The day was absolutely beautiful with blue skies and slushy snow. Tons of kids and families showed up to shred with coaches and friends. The BBQ was busy cooking hotdogs and rattlesnake while people roasted hotdogs and smores over an open fire. The BBQ was an all day event and MBSEF looks forward to having more events like this in the future. Thanks everybody for coming. Check out the photos.

2009 USASA Snowboarding Nationals

The snowboard team had success at the Copper Mountain USASA National Snowboarding event. The team travelled from April 2nd through April 12th including 7 days of snowboarding at beautiful Copper Mountain. The weather held up great for most of the week allowing for excellent competitions. 5 coaches travelled with the team including Hans, Adam, Coggin, Justin, and Kevin. This allowed for two coaches to be at the slopestyle at all times for optimal coaching strategy while one coach was at the halfpipe and one or two freeriding with athletes. The kids rode well representing Central Oregon as a place where all around freestyle riders come from. This was a great team to travel with and everybody had a ton of fun. Thanks to everybody for your wonderful smiles and great attitudes. Truly a great team effort. Below are the Nationals Results and please checkout the photos.
