Raffle Rules for the December 16, 2009 Raffle of Steelers Items.

1. Each ticket will cost $5.00.  This is not a tax deductible contribution.

2. Proceeds benefit the Mars Area Band Boosters.

3. The raffle is open to all persons age 18 and over.

4. Individuals may purchase as many tickets as desired up to the total quantity printed.

5. More than one name may be stated on the ticket stub.  Delivery of the prize will be made solely to the name(s) on the stub. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser(s) in a multiple party entry to determine final ownership of the prize(s).

6. Winning numbers are determined by the 3-digit (straight) Pennsylvania Daily Number Drawing for December 16, 2009. Both the Midday and Evening numbers will be used as detailed in number 14 below.

7. In the event the winning number or numbers as described above is not sold, the winner(s) will be determined by a publicly witnessed, random drawing, of all tickets sold.  This random drawing, if necessary, will be held the evening of December 17, 2009 at 7:30PM at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mars Area Band Boosters.

8. Ticket sales will start on November 3, 2009 and end on December 15, 2009.  Tickets will not be sold or issued under any circumstances on or after December 16, 2009.  If a ticket is found to be sold after December 15, 2009, the money will be returned to the purchaser and the ticket corresponding to the sale of that number will be void and ineligible for prize distribution.

9. Ticket stubs and all records are maintained and held on the drawing date by the Mars Area Band Boosters Ways and Means Vice President.

10. Each ticket has one number in the range 000 to 999 (One thousand tickets total).

11. Odds of winning are determined by the number of tickets sold and the PA Daily Number officially published odds.

12. Two chances to win on each ticket. One ticket is eligible to win both prizes.

13. All prizes will be awarded.

14. Purchaser of the ticket corresponding to the Midday December 16, 2009 Pennsylvania Daily Number wins an “MTH Rail King Model 30-4200-1 Pittsburgh Steelers Express 2-8-0 Steam Passenger Train Set with Proto Sound 2.0”.  A description and picture is available here.

15. Purchaser of the ticket corresponding to the Evening December 16, 2009 Pennsylvania Daily Number wins an NFL Officially Licensed Product full size football with Hall of Fame (HOF) 1990 Jack Lambert Autograph and an NFL Officially Licensed Product Jack Lambert Photograph (no autograph on the photograph).

16. Winners will be contacted by phone or email within 24 hours of the drawing date, or by Postal Mail within 14 days of the drawing date.  Every reasonable attempt will be made to contact the winners. Attempts to contact the winner will be made for 30 days from the drawing date.  If the winner cannot be contacted, the Mars Area Band Boosters reserves the right to select a new winner by random drawing from the pool of sold tickets 31 days after the original drawing date. If you believe you have won a prize in this raffle and have not been contacted by phone or email within 24 hours of the contest date, or by Postal mail within 14 days of the contest date, please send an email to bandinfo@marsband.com.

17. Purchaser must fill-in their name on the ticket stub to be eligible to win. Blank stubs are NOT eligible to win under any circumstances.  Contact information such as address, phone number, or email address is encouraged so that the winner(s) can be contacted.  The Mars Band Boosters are not responsible for missing, illegible, incorrect, or otherwise improperly filled-out stubs. 

18. Only original tickets printed under the supervision of the Mars Area Band Boosters are eligible for distribution, sale, purchase, or prize eligibility. Copies, facsimilies, or other non-original tickets are not eligible for prizes.

19. Unsold tickets and blank stubs (ie stubs without the purchasers name) become the property of the Mars Area Band Boosters and are not eligible for prizes under any circumstances.

20. Mars Area Band Boosters reserves the right to refuse distribution of prizes if there is a reasonable belief that the winning ticket(s) were fraudulently obtained.

21. Prizes should be picked up. Special arrangements can be made for hand delivery of prizes. Under extenuating circumstances prizes can be shipped.  Mars Area Band Boosters are not responsible for prizes lost, stolen, misdirected, misdelivered, undelivered, or damaged in-transit.

22. All personal income taxes, sales or use taxes, or any other taxes whatsoever are the sole responsibility of the winners.

23. No prize substitutions permitted.

24. All prizes offered in this raffle are in the possession of the Mars Area Band Boosters and are not subject to any availability limitations.

25. The winners name(s) will be published on www.marsband.com for 30 days after the drawing date.

26. Mars Area Band Boosters is not responsible for printing errors in any raffle related material or literature.

27. Winners accepting prizes agree that all prizes are awarded on the condition that Mars Area Band Boosters and the Directors, Executive Officers, general membership of the Mars Area Band Boosters and their immediate family members, all prize providers and their respective parent companies, affiliates, sister companies, directors, officers, employees and their immediate family members, representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers, printers and distributors will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting from acceptance, possession, use, misuse or non-use of the awarded prizes (including travel related thereto).
