Rod & Cheryl - What a Team!

Rod and Cheryl McConnell moved to Malmo Plains in September, 1998 with their then one year old daughter, Ashley.  In October of 1999 their son, Austin was born.  The McConnell's  enjoy  living in Malmo and are proud to be active community members.  "We love the proximity of our community,  we like the fact that we know many of the people  in Malmo,  and that  we have grown some wonderful friendships with neighbours."  Cheryl has contributed to our community by volunteering her time.  In the past she has held positions with the Malmo Pre-Kindergarten as Treasurer when Ashley attended and as Co-Chair when Austin attended.  She is currently Treasurer for the Comm. League and also a member of the Malmo School Council.  Cheryl  volunteers at community functions and has helped at casinos for both the school and community.  Her hobbies include writing poetry and enjoys listening to music. Rod, being a Graphic Artist, lead him to volunteer as the Newsletter Editor and has been a part of the league executive for the past three years.  He also  contributes to our community by volunteering  at community events and providing pictures for the newsletter.  Rod enjoys sketching and painting using his favourite medium water-colours.  Both Rod and Cheryl play slow-pitch and have been on the same team, the Cruisers, for the past 20 years.  They also enjoy biking and skating. The whole family loves spending time together at their summer cabin.   "We challenge all the other members of this wonderful community to keep Malmo a vibrant place to live.  Become an active community member!"
