Welcome Familes to Camp Chris Williams

2010 Camp Chris Williams Tier System*Sunday August 8-14, 2010 @ Bear Lake in Lapeer Michigan.

Camp Chris Families:Due to yearly increases at camps across the State, the prices for campers have changed.  This year, MADHH arranged a payment tier system that will lock your total amount due for your camper depending on the date you register.  Ensure great memories for your child this summer while saving money by registering early.  Sending your application, with a $50.00 deposit, will hold your child’s spot and lock in the price for camp.  Paid-In-Full status is needed by May 28th, 2010.

Early communication with MADHH will help guarantee camp memories that will promote leadership, offer language development and foster a healthy self identity for your camper.

Camp Chris Williams: August 8 - 14, 2010

Camp Chris Williams is moving in 2010 to Bear Lake in Lapeer Michigan.  Chris Williams himself was a Lions Club member and Lions Clubs from all corners of Michigan continue to support his dream, Camp Chris Williams.  For it's 35th year anniversary, MADHH will continue Mr. Williams dream and bring the camp back a Lions owned camp.  Fostering personal growth and community involvement will continue, as will many of the loved activities: archery, rock wall climbing, low ropes course, horse back riding and swimming in the lake.  This new opportunity will offer NEW structured environments that Camp Chris Williams is known for.

These include:
  • Nature Center (bugs, insects and fun information included)
  • Kayaks, Playaks, and Paddle Boats
  • Challenge Course

The addition of a the Lions' Ralph Lyman Leadership Institute Program for Deaf and hard of hearing youth (ages 16 +) become prepared to be Counselors In Training (CIT).  The Camp Chris Williams family has been growing and the official CIT program better equips our young adults to transition from camper to staff.  The program is based on application skills.  "Giving back" at Camp Chris Williams means to Honor, Care, Respect, and be Responsible to all.  This is best done by applying one's leadership skills in a safe and controlled environment.
