In our Spanish classes, we strive to integrate language instruction with the themes our students are exploring in their Primary Years and Middle Years programs. While our students spend much of their time learning Spanish vocabulary and grammar and practicing their communication skills in Spanish, they also have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge by exploring such subjects as safety, feelings, nature, politics, and the media in the World Language context. As we lay the groundwork for our students to communicate in Spanish, we also hope to inspire them to take an interest in the rich cultural heritage of the Spanish-speaking world, and to explore the intersections between that world and their own.  |
