| We see a couple of comments and have had several support emails on Mileage Tracker where it looks like data is lost during the upgrade - even after reading other support posts on this site. We can't reproduce the problem, but we think we know why this has happened. We uploaded V1 of Mileage Tracker with two different Distribution Profiles (and keys) where the App Store changed the version several days before the release of version 1.1. By using different profiles, the App Store would then have treated the upgrade as a different application - and not carried the data over to the new version. That could be why some of you have lost data. If you have feedback on the upgrade process, can you let us know? Please email support@lemdisyn.com for follow up. If you did lose your data from V1, we're striving to make sure that doesn't happen again. Apple has since clarified their Distribution Profile Policy, and all future versions will be released with the same profile. As always however, if you have important data on your phone, please make sure you back it up prior to upgrading any application or iPhone firmware. That can only help to prevent issues with lost data. It's not a very granular process, but until the AppStore application delivery process is completely ironed out, these things can happen. Thanks! |
