| From email support: I was able to enter several entries into PokerTrak, but now the application is crashing when I start it.
Update: We've released an update for PokerTrak (1.01) as a free upgrade via the iTunes AppStore. Hopefully this update will make it out by the end of the week of 8/25.
This update fixes several bugs: - Data Entry Bug - The app will ensure that valid data is entered and will not crash if important data is omitted. - Page Control Bug - Paging now works by tapping on the page control - Globalization Bug - V1.0 was only valid for the English locale and US Region Format. V1.01 now works in all locales and all regions. It is however, only localized for English - meaning that all the words appear in English. If you're interested in seeing PokerTrak localized for YOUR language, Let us know!
Above all, the bugs in V1.0 were very serious, and we shouldn't have released the app in that state. Excuses are no good - but we rolled new graphing functionality in V 1.0 on our existing data model which was designed to allow for incomplete data - the graphs weren't!
BUG: PokerTrak will fail if you do not enter in values for the following fields on each Poker Session entry: "Date Played" "Game Played" "Total Buy In" "Total at Finish"
Even though there are placeholders for some of those fields, for example the "Buy In" and "Finish" fields, the value is not saved in the system unless you specifically set it. Failure to enter these session items will cause the application to crash when ever it runs through the analysis calculations. We've already got a fix in place, but it will roll into our next release which could take over a week with the App Store.
WORKAROUND: First off, until we get a fix in, you'll need to make sure you enter in a value for each of the fields above. If you save data that is missing these fields, the app will crash, and will continue to crash while trying to read your data file.
Second, You can get the application to work again by deleting it from your phone, then reinstalling it via the mobile App Store. This will ensure you get a fresh copy installed without having a potentially corrupt data file restored from your desktop iTunes. You don't have to pay for the application again - the App Store will recognize that you've already purchased the app, and let you download it again for free.
Hope that helps - and if you have the issue - This is a major stability bug and a Priority 1 bug to fix in our next roll out.
Thanks
