Changes for this version include:
  • New localized content: German, Spanish, Norwegian and Portuguese! (Need a translation? Kanji? Let us know at support@lemdisyn.com.)

  • Bug fix: Periodic saving to prevent data loss in case of crash - Application data is now saved at the point of entry.
  • Bug fix: Better support for multiple fill ups in a single day.
  • Better memory management.
We've tested this release against upgrades - but to ensure you have no data loss, please make sure to back up your iPhone before upgrading!

.. and much more to come!  take a look at our PokerTrak link and you'll see what kind of technology we'll soon build into Mileage Tracker!

Update for Version 1.1 is available as of 8/1!

Changes for this version include:
  • Octane Comparison - Mileage Tracker now compares your mileage when you fill your tank with different octane gasoline.  Now you can see if pumping in the more expensive gasoline is REALLY worth it!  Just record your octane-grade (tracked as low/medium/high) when you fill up at the pump, and Mileage Tracker takes care of the rest!  (Note: This analysis works best if you run your tank low between fill-ups - otherwise you're mixing types of gases, and not getting valuable information.)
  • Support for Multiple Vehicles - Now you can manage multiple vehicles with Mileage Tracker and track mileage in each separately
  • Support for both Imperial and Metric - Mileage Tracker automatically reads your iPhone's locale information and displays data in the proper format.
  • Support for localized languages - We've built support into Mileage Tracker to offer localization into different languages.  Currently, however, we're only supporting English.  Do you want to see  Milage Tracker in YOUR language?  Let support know at support@lemdisyn.com
  • Updated Analysis - Mileage Tracker performs a wealth of calculations on your mileage - Just check out the mileage tab.  Mileage Tracker will now calculate the benefit you get from driving with different Octane fuel!

Updated Screen Shots:

Metric Units!

Octane Comparison!
How does it work?  Mileage Tracker looks at the type of gas from your previous fill up, the miles you drove on that tank, and the amount of gas you took to fill it back up.  Over time - Mileage Tracker will tell you if higher octane gas is worth it to use, or just a way for the oil companies to get some more of your money.  If you see higher mileage from higher octane gas, that information will show up on this section as what higher octane fuel is worth to you, based on the way you drive!

Multiple Vehicles!

A Note on Analysis:  There's a couple of comments on Apple's store about Mileage Tracker not calculating mileage correctly.  To that we say:
  • Mileage Tracker calculates your mileage based on information you add in each Mileage Tracking.  It automatically looks at the mileage setting based on the odometer of your car.  No need to put in trip or per tank information - just record the odometer when you fill it up and Mileage Tracker takes care of the rest!
  • Make sure you have the latest version (1.1)
  • Octane calculations:  Making a note ahead of time - Octane calculations are based on the type of fuel already in your tank.  That's why Mileage Tracker looks to what you filled your tank up with in the previous fill up to calculate any mileage for a specific kind of gas.  Make sense?  Try it and see!
Mileage Tracker is an easy-to-use iPhone application to help track mileage and gas costs for your vehicle.

These screen shots help to show how the app works and what it will look like when you load it on your iPhone.  This application is optimized to be quick and painless for adding new data as well as to offer fast, useful analysis of your driving.  Try it and you'll see!

The main screen is the Fill Up screen.  This is where the app starts and shows you can view and edit previous information, or add new fill up information:

Most importantly, with Mileage Tracker, you can always view an analysis of your overall mileage over time and see where your money is going, and will be able to track if buying higher octane gas is worth it for your vehicle.
By pressing the "+" button on the Fill Up screen, you're on your way to simply entering in new information to help track mileage:  This shows a summary of data you enter.  Mileage Tracker is a pretty forgiving application, and will pretty much let you enter anything, as long as it computes.  Make a mistake? Just delete or edit a record, and everything recalculates!

Each item on the Detail Screen is meant to be quickly edited by another.  For example - click on the date screen, it defaults to today!  Click on the milage screen, it pre-populates with your last mileage!  It all makes for adding a new fill up record , painlessly, in seconds (and easy to do with one hand as you wait for your receipt at the pump.)  What could be easier?
