SOCIOLOGY 84 – SIMSOC (UC:CSU) 1 UNIT

Students create a simulated society, actively learning sociological concepts such as status, role, primary group, power, and hierarchy. The game takes approximately 14 hours to play and students have great fun while learning about the world and the workings of society.

 
To participate, enroll in one of the sections below, and contact the professor for more information no later than the 3rd week of classes.
 

The first SIMSOC usually takes place in Week 5 or 6 of the semester; It meets in BSc 102 on Friday from 2-5 pm, and the next day - Saturday - from 9 am – 5 pm. This course is usually facilitated by Professor Allen, (818) 947-2521.

 

The second SIMSOC usually takes place in Week 9 or 10 of the semester; It meets in BSc 102 on Friday from 2-5 pm, and the next day - Saturday - from 9 am – 5 pm. This course is usually facilitated by Professor Ie, prof_eie@yahoo.com.
