I am a freelance translator who like to travel a lot. Often I go to places where I and other people are speaking different languages and then it the importance of mutual understanding become very apparent. It is the question of using transportation, eating and booking a room in a hotel.
 
In the meantime I am in India, one of the most exotic countries in the world. India's richness is probably lies not in beautiful scenic views or extremes, although it has plenty of these too. The distinctive features of India are its culture and people. There are countless ethnicities, castes, tribes, creeds, religions etc. in India and they speak in hundred of different languages. And they all manage to live together in a relative peace. This wouldn't be possible without some will to attain global understanding. This is what is often lacking in the global world. There is no use speaking about world peace if there no mutual understanding what the peace means to all of us. This site is my humble attempt to reflect on these meaning from the perspective ofthe global community.
