I count myself as fortunate to have found wine connoisseurship...
...endlessly fascinating for myself, and terrifically delightful to share with others.
To develop my wine knowledge: I have read widely, tasted at every opportunity and completed various wine-related courses. Studying with the WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust, UK), I passed the intermediate exam “with distinction”, and the advanced exam “with merit”. In February 2007, I was awarded the Jack Ackroyd Memorial Scholarship for “academic excellence” in the WSET program.
I believe that knowledge of a wine can increase our enjoyment in its drinking...
that knowledge of wine can be a delightful pursuit, best shared with friends.
I believe that the inverse is equally true:
There are few things more delightful than a bottle of wine among friends.

This logo is used with the premission of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. Based and acreditted in the UK, the WSET runs trade/professional-oriented courses in thirty four countries. My WSET studies were run in Toronto by the Independant Wine Education Guild.
