How to Become a Member

Overview

The main thing to remember is that this club is run by volunteers, so bear with us if things appear to move slowly!

The process can be split into three stages:

  1. Joining the club and paying subscriptions.
  2. Getting a key.
  3. Taking advantage of the facilities and opportunities at the club

Joining

Download the "Members Guide" and "Membership Application Form" (from the Membership Documents page), and fill out the form.

Arrange payment. (Direct funds transfer is *far* preferred. The bank account is 12-3085-0321121-000, please make sure that you include your name.)

Get the completed form into the hands of an officer of the club (see below for details).

Key

To get a key, you need to meet up at the club with someone who can give a pre-programmed key, or can program you a key on the spot (see below for details).  If you have access to email, please email the key administrator.

Using the Club

Once you are a member, make sure you take advantage of the opportunities that the club offers, either for squash or badminton.  In particular, we are active with social events, interclub, club nights etc etc (see below for details).

Details

OK, here is where it gets interesting.  The absolute best way of doing all of this is to give Glen Harris a call on 021 416 491, and arrange to meet him down at the club.  Either bring a cheque with you, or give him a day or two to confirm receipt of payment.  That way, you can get your key and become a member in one easy step.  Glen is Squash Club Captain and so he can sign you up for Squash interclub etc. If you are playing Badminton, contact Sandra Watson to ensure that you are making the most of the club.
