10,000 word Essay

 Outline

We have a topic and need to write 10,000 words.

Can we break the topic down into sections/categories?

Yes!  We can break it down into 10 general sections.  Each will need 1000 words.

Can we break down those section/categories into smaller sub-categories?

Yes we Can!

How many we break them down into depends on our thinking ability.

In each of these smaller sub-categories, we will need to write about some particular points.  How many points can we come up with to write about?

As you can see, we can come up with many.

But if we imagine that we just come up with 5 points in each sub-category and there are a total of 45 sub-categories in the 10 categories, then we need just 45 words for each point that we make.

However in many cases, we will come up with more than 5 points so the number of words to be written for each is less.

 Topic

10   Categories

45   Sub Categories

5      Points in each Sub Category.

=  225 points to write about.

10,000 words divided by 225 = 44 words for each point.

 SEE HOW IT IS DONE!

You Organise those points into some type of Order:
  • Space

Use good sentences to link up all the points chosen for that Paragraph.  Remembering that each paragraph has a topic of it's own.
