History

From the desk of Judith Daugherty-Founding  Director
Back in 1973, when Kings Players was founded, it was apparent that this community was interested in theater and music. It was conceived by a few people  sitting around talking show business. Pastor William Hanson was our biggest supporter. Many in this congregation and the community contributed their talents behind the scenes as well.  Regina Pflug who named the group, the Crosbees who donated their basement for set storage, the Jennings , Doherty, Yetka and Grady families were only some that were responsible for the helping to continue the concept.

After a few years hiatus,I am happy to say that there is still an interest in theater here at King of Kings. Thanks to Craig Bjornsund who launched the return with
his original  play “Deny Him No More” and Carol Wernli for making the re-emergence possible.
