This course is an introduction to information systems.  The objective is to build a basic understanding of the value and use of information system technology for business operations, managerial decision making, project management, and strategic advantage.  Topics of special interest include information system planning, application development including systems analysis and design, decision support systems, and expert systems.  Credit may be earned for either BUSAD 51 or CMPSC 51.
