Class field trip to the Duke Lemur Center (http://lemur.duke.edu/)

You have 2 options for traveling to the Duke Lemur Center:
  • drive
  • take the free shuttle bus from UNC Chapel Hill
Driving to the Duke Lemur Center
  • The  Lemur Center is located outside the Duke University West campus.
    • The address is 3705 Erwin Road, Durham, NC, at the intersection with Lemur Lane.
    • Important: From Erwin Road, you need to turn onto Lemur Lane and drive all the way down this road.  Lemur Lane is a narrow road and is easy to miss.  Keep an eye out.
  • Here is a Yahoo map where you can plot your driving directions. http://tinyurl.com/43znub
  • Parking is free at at the Center.
Taking the bus from UNC Chapel Hill
  • Important: If you are going to take the bus, email and notify Jeff at jloo@email.unc.edu before 5PM Friday October 3.  A fellow classmate has generously offered to pick us up from the bus stop and drive us to the Lemur Center.  We need a head count to arrange this ride.
  • Catch the 9:00 am Robertson Express bus at Morehead Planetarium.  The bus stop is located at the southwest corner of the parking lot in front of the planetarium.  Please arrive a few minutes early so you don't miss the bus.  Riding this bus is free.
  • Jeff will be riding this bus, so look for him.
  • We will arrive at Duke Chapel at 9:30 am, where a fellow classmate will generously drive us to the Lemur Center.
