Rationale

Many class activities are designed for learning via doing, thinking and discussing.  For this reason, class participation is an important graded component.

Expectations

Class participation may involve the following:
  • Exerting effort in small group activities
  • Simple attendance
  • Contributing and leading class discussions
  • Asking questions in class
  • Discussing with the instructor after class
  • Keeping the instructor informed of your final project progress
Hopefully, you will find this class supportive and conducive enough to experiment with different participation activities.
