About the IOPNA Candidate Questionnaire Isle of Palms residents will select a mayor and four council members in the municipal election on November 3, 2009. The Isle of Palms Neighborhood Association believes the best way to fulfill our mission is to foster the mutual interests of our families, residents, business owners and elected officials and to maintain responsibility for preserving the quality of life on our island. We are working to educate residents about each of the candidates running for office so that each voter can make an informed choice. The IOPNA invited ALL candidates, mayoral and city council, to respond to nine questions regarding issues of concern to our organization. Responses to the questions from each candidate can be viewed by clicking on their name below (listed in alphabetical order). Three candidates chose not to respond: Marty Bettelli, Ron Denton and Sandy Stone. We still encourage all candidates to participate in the survey.
