Be prepared to present your FINAL museum exhibit on Monday, March 2nd in class.  You will have 5-10 minutes to set up your exhibit before the gallery walk where both your peers and teacher will be evaluating your work.

You will need to turn in/have the following items:
  • FINAL museum exhibit and ALL components
  • Curators Statement (this can be displayed alongside your project but make sure to give a copy to your teacher).
  • MLA formatted bibliography with 5 sources, 2 of which must be books.
  • Project Rubric
Attached is the rubric and if you have misplaced the Curator's Statement the directions are:

As part of your project, you must create a statement that explains your exhibition and why you chose to display the information in the manner you did.  While you must submit this statement to me, you have the option of displaying it alongside your exhibition on exhibition night.  It should only be displayed if you feel it would help visitors better understand your exhibit.  Your statement must answer the following questions:

·         What is the overall message or theme you want your visitors to leave your exhibition knowing?

·         How did you display your exhibition to get this meaning across?

·         What did you use to actively engage the visitor in your exhibit?  How did this actively engage the visitor?

·         Why did you choose this particular aspect of the industrial revolution?

The Curator’s Statement needs to be 1 – 2 pages (no more, no less), double spaced, 1” margins, 12 pt. font.  It is due, along with your completed exhibition on March 2, 2009.
