On Saturday during HYC Drop in Sessions we run Band Practise Sessions, aimed at providing an ideal space to rehearse in a place that offer lots of different facilities. Bookable sessions cost just £12.50 in advance for a 3 hour session, or £16 if you pay on the day.

During Youth Club Sessions
The music room is available for more structured programme activities for youth club members on Mondays, Wednesday and Thursday youth clubs. If you have a particular interest in learning some drumming, djing, recording, guitar or video editing skills then talk to the worker in charge for the session about inclusion in the programme. There is no additional charge to youth club members for these sessions.

Please note on some occasions this slots differ and can be an hour earlier. We will always try and accomodate you if we can, so if you need a one off, or even a regular slot at a different time give us a call. If you can't find a sutiable time or would rather practice at home then we also have a Portable PA System (Peavey Escort) which is available for just £5 per session (or £10 for full day or event). FAQWhat's in the Practise Room? In the room is a full drum kit made up of Kick, Snare, Two rack Toms, Floor Tom, Hi-Hat, Crash and Rider, plus a stool and pedal. Two Guitar half stacks with Marshall Heads. A full Bass Cab and Head plus, a Keyboard and two microphones as standard. We have some odd instrument or need more then 2 vocals can we still book? Yes you can, just say how many vocals you need or what you need to be able to practice and if possible and within reason we will try our best to provide it. Is it just Saturdays and later afternoon sessions we can book? At the present moment it is just Saturdays but the hope is to try and expand the practices to Friday Night and Sunday as well as During Schools Half Term and Summer Holidays, when the centre is not being used as much for other projects. Can we record our session? Yes you can if you provide your own media and recording device, just plug it into the in house mixer and you should be able to record. The rooms does have a multitrack USB mixer. Information can be got on request about recording Please phone or email us for more info. Can we use the internet? Yes the centre has a 24/7 Internet Connection and has a CyberCafe built in and running throughout the Saturday drop ins. So you can look up Lyrics, Upload photos to your myspace or even just chat with friends. Where is the centre? HYC is located mid way down Hurst Road, It's Postcode is RH12 2DN and is next to Central Sussex College and Pavilions in the Park Where the nearest place to buy food? We have a cafe running on most Saturday that can provide snacks and drinks to you, for more details please see signs in the centre. Can my friends come in?
Yes, the centre is open for drop in on Saturdays so they are welcome too, we do however ask that only the people practicing use the band room - they are welcome to use the other facilities such as PC's, Sky TV, Cafe, Pool Tables and basket ball court whilst you practice.
