Prior to joining Hartland Middle School at Ore Creek, Mr. Laibly
taught at Lincoln High School in Warren, MI, for three years. Both at
the high school level and now at Ore Creek, Mr. Laibly takes pride in
offering music instruction to all students that are interested. The students at Ore Creek consistently score well at Solo and Ensemble Festival, and are encouraged to participate in this activity. The imporatance of being autonomous musicicans is a concept that is highly impressed upon the band membership at Ore Creek.
Mr.
Laibly grew up in the northwesten suburbs of Chicago and then attended
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Upon earning his Music
Education degree, Mr. Laibly became engaged to Mrs. Laibly, who formerly was the music teacher at Creekside Elementary School and is currently the Choir Director at Ore Creek. Mr. Laibly is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Michigan State Univeristy.
