The primary goal of the Welcome Team is to help people feel welcome, at ease, and part of the Heartland Church community. This is accomplished by:- Greeting – Opening doors, greeting, handing out a bulletin, directing people to the restrooms, children’s classrooms and nursery, and ministering to weather-related needs.
- Meeting – Introducing yourself, introducing new people to others, getting contact info, following-up with a letter or e-mail.
- Seating – Setting up and arranging chairs before service, helping people find a seat in the sanctuary, creating open seating areas for people who come late, placing and removing seating.
- Treating – Showing new people they are important to us by taking them out to lunch, connecting them with staff, and/or giving them a gift.
