Questions

Does anyone know the permit requirements for a large group at local parks? Anyone want to volunteer to handle such arrangements?
Permits are required for large groups. Helen Rapozo has secured a permit for the Hawaii Geek Meet. Thanks, Helen!

Should we be striving toward one big potluck, or several smaller potlucks organized by group?
While we'll all be coming together in one big geek gathering, coordination is probably easiest by group. Of course, "independent" geeks are welcome as well!

Is the "Google Pages" wiki (based on Jotspot) sufficient for collaborative planning? Should we move to another wiki system? Or a completely different framework?
The "Google Pages" wiki seems sufficient this time around. But recommendations for another planning and publishing system are always welcome!

Feel free to add or answer questions above!

Is anyone bringing adhesive name stickers (like the ones that say "Aloha, My name is:" at the top) for folks to write their name or affiliation(s) or interest(s)?
That's a pretty good way for people to find "birds of a feather" or just as a conversation starter.

I'll be bringing nametags. Perhaps some other kinds of colored stickers or dots as well for folks to play with or show off their multitude of geeky afilliations!
