I had an interview with my dad, xxxxx, who says he knows everything there is to know about vampires. What special powers do vampires possess?
Expert- "The powers of the vampire vary depending upon a few criteria. First, like mortals, some vampires are more physical and other are more intellectual. However, most vampires possess extraordinary strength, speed and agility. Also, most vampires possess the ability to sense their victim's thoughts and fears. Hover over the centuries, vampires evolve other powers. Some can levatate or fly. Others possess the ability to not only read their victims thoughts but some can control them. The few truely ancient vampires possess the ability to dispense fire and ignite junior vampires my merely willing it.
Can vampires fly?
Expert- "Only the truely ancient ones."
What does it mean to be ancient? Expert- “According to the legends, the world has had vampires since the dawn of time. A vampire is immortal, they do not age like mortal people. The older the vampire, the more powerful. However, it is the blood, which ages and evolves in power. Therefore, an ancient vampire is a vampire, whose blood had been vampiric for centuries or more. It doesn't necessarily mean they are really old but how old the person who turned them was or if they fed on an older vampire.”
When vampires bite into you is it just two little holes or a big gushing cut?
Expert- "It depends on the bite. Some vampires, like people, are precise and some are sloppy.
How would you become a vampire?
Expert-“If a vampire drains your blood and then lets you feed on the vampire blood, you will be turned into a vampire. If a vampire merely feeds on you, nothing happens to you. In many cases, the victim may never realize they have been fed upon.”
Can vampires have children?
Expert-“No. A vampire is dead. While they may be cursed to walk the earth as an immortal creature, they may not procreate.”
What would happen if a child’s mother was tuned into a vampire while she was pregnant?
Expert-“There are several differences of opinion on this point in vampire lore. Some believe, the unborn child would become a vampire and likely killed off by the coven, other vamires in the community. Some believe the mother would deliver the child immediately, when they were 'turned' and the baby would be human. However, in both cases, the mother would abandon the child. There is a legend of a child, who was a hybrid. ( ½ human, and ½ vampire) Blade, the Daywalker, is a creature, whose mother was turned late in her pregnancy. For the most part, he is a mortal man. He ages, may exist in sunlight and can procreate. However, he possesses the speed & power of a vampire, heals quickly and ages slowly. While he does not feed on blood, he does require a diet consisting of a special blood like serum. Otherwise he may begin to crave blood and may turn into a vampire. Regardless of his orgins, he has committed his life to hunting and disposing of vampires.
Do vampires age? Expert-“No.” Who was the first vampire?
Expert-“The legends vary. Some says Judas, the betraying apostle, was the first vampire, cursed to omitted from heavan & hell for all time. Some believe a assorted list of people from thousands of years ago. In most cases, the vampire was infused with 'cursed blood', which provides the immortality and the unquenchable thirst.” What are some of vampires’ weaknesses? Expert-“Sunlight & silver or wooden stakes in the heart, which paralyzes them. For the most part, the only way to dispose of a vampire is to stake them in the heart. Once they are immobilized by the stake, they must be beheaded and have their remains burned and ashes spread.” Can vampires walk in daylight? Expert-“Not really. Sunlight will vaporize a vampire. However, really ancient vampires are so powerful they are not immediately vaporized by sunlight. The older the vampire the longer the process would take. Some very very ancient vampires may stay out in the sunlight for hours without being burned.” Do vampires live in coffins? Expert-“Not really. Vampires choose coffins as lightless boxes, in which to sleep. Centuries ago, it was not as uncommon for a castle to have a coffin in the basement. Nowadays, it would be quite odd to see a coffin anywhere.” Do vampires battle each other? Expert-“Sometimes. Often, vampires chose to live in covens, vampire communities, where they would live together & adhere to strict rules, often designed to ensure there safety & secret was never revealed. From time to time, covens would battle each other over territory or beliefs.” How do vampires like being vampires? Expert-“Some like it, some are filled with guilt, regret & remorse.” |
