Follow your students science class!
I realize that sometimes it is hard to find time to make a phone call or come in for a conference about your student. With that in mind I have hoping to provide some services that will keep you informed about what is taking place in your students science class. By making use of the following social networking and video conferencing tools you will be able to follow what we are doing in class as well as be in direct communication with me about your son or daughter. Please view the information below to learn more about how I am implementing each service and the protocols for using them. Be aware that conversations that take place using these services may be recorded or saved.
Please note, I have put the following communication technologies in place in the hope that you will take advantage of them. Hopefully we can address any concerns that you may have before they become a problem. I look forward to hearing from you!
Remind
I am updating what is happening in all my science courses using remind. The great part is that you can follow those updates without having an account. In addition to my updates being posted to remind, they are also posted to the main page of this website, specific course websites, and my classroom Moodle accounts. This gives you the option of visiting one of my websites, or following me on Remind to keep informed on what is happening in science. Students and parents are encouraged to choose one of these options to stay informed.
To receive updates follow the directions below:
Biology - Text @hpsdbio to 202-800-1363
Environmental - Text @hpsdenv to 202-800-1363
Video Conferencing
If you are finding it hard to set up a conference with me at school and would like to meet face to face, I do have the ability to video conference with you. I can do this through a Google Hangout, Zoom, Skype, or Facebook. Please email me to set up a time to conference. Please include the video conferencing client you would like to use, your screen name, and a few times that will work for you. Email me at jsuter@hanoverpublic.org.
