There´s no way around the theodicy argument. If the divinity is beyond logical constraints then it´s an entity without interest for us humans; on the other hand, inasmuch as the divine is indeed within the scope of logical and moral demands, then and in the face of perennial evil and disgrace, there are only two possibilities, either She / He is indifferent or limited. As the mutazilites were already hinting at, there´s no way around the demands of CRITICAL reason. But that´s really not the point, because critical reason (however important) is in-between our primary and ultimate concern, which must always be an unwavering attention to the demands of CORDIAL reason. That´s the reason that keeps us whispering and nodding while going circles around each other like little electric trains, obedient to the semaphoric signals of love.
