Sunnyslope Choir
Welcome to the Vocal Music Department at Sunnyslope High School.
The choir program of Sunnyslope High School is committed to excellence in the study and performance of choral music. Each year we study a variety of outstanding compositions from all periods and styles of music. Instructional curriculum includes developing appropriate vocal production, choral balance, tone and articulation, music literacy, critical listening and performance evaluation. We perform in concert each quarter in the Kenneth E. Coffin auditorium as well as in local, state and national festivals and community events. Singing in a choir is a very special experience that requires commitment to the group, patience and willingness to take risks. We emphasize the art of working together and supporting each other. Whether through daily rehearsals, performances, or special events, there is an ongoing opportunity and expectation for growth musically, personally and in our connection with each other.
