Our team name comes from a combination of two races described in the Symphony of Ages series, written by Elizabeth Haydon. There were five major races, each born of from one of the elements. The race born of Air were the Kith. They were children of the sky and the wind. Sensitive to the vibrations of the world, the Kith were the keepers of music and meteorology.
The Lirin were descendants of the Kith and the Seren, the primordial race born of Ether. They were the singers of lore and those who spoke only the truth had the power of naming. A Namer was able to create reality through the power of her words. They were forest dwelling, nature-loving creatures, similar to Tolkien’s elves.
The innate connection to Air is a clear indication of why we chose these two races for our team name. In addition, there is the sense of vibrational disharmony throughout the Earth and it is through this Earth Day Challenge that we attempt to realign ourselves and our home with the harmony of the universe. Through not only words, but actions, do we create a new reality, a better reality, for ourselves and our descendants. |
