Brook Glenn Elementary is the very best school! I am proud to be a teacher at this school and enjoy working with such wonderful students and staff. Brook Glenn has been such a positive experience for me and I love coming to work each day knowing that I’m making a difference! To help you get to know me better, I have written a little about myself.

I was born right down the road in Greenwood, South Carolina! However, my father was in the military and we only lived in that area until I began the first grade. I attended school and college in the very cold state of Indiana. Growing up in Indiana helped me to become acquainted with all four seasons very well, particularly winter.

While in school, I loved to learn. I remember reading at all hours of the night at home. During my senior year of high school, I began working in a first grade classroom and knew that I belonged with children. When making the decision about college, I decided to stay close to home and attended Indiana State University (this is where Larry Bird attended college). I majored in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I was able to spend in a classroom and couldn’t wait to begin my career. After graduating in 2006, I moved to North Carolina to escape the season known as winter. After marrying my husband, Drew, we decided to move further south to South Carolina. Although I was sad to leave North Carolina, I was looking forward to a new adventure. My family and I have LOVED South Carolina. To be in a state surrounded by friendly faces and an environment where we can enjoy the weather year round has been amazing!
