Come be celebrated, not just tolerated!

Welcome!

Thanks for visiting! Please make yourself at home, and feel free to contact us. We'd love to hear from you! Come and take a tour - check out our calendar of activities, take a peek at our photo album, or get involved helping the homeless with Jerry's Ministry.

If you have a prayer request, story to tell, or are spiritually struggling because you've been told God doesn't love you for being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered, we are here to help.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Church to minister healing to all who have been left broken, wounded or bruised by the side of life's busy road. It is to this end that the Holy Spirit has anointed us to preach the Good News to all who have been deprived of their rightful inheritance in Christ.

We have been sent to proclaim a glorious freedom for those who have been made prisoners of human traditions and religious legalism, to restore sight to those who are oppressed either by society at large or by their own self-image and to proclaim the year of God's favor for all people regardless of race, age, gender or affectional orientation.

Message from Our Pastor

Welcome to Good Samaritan MCC, where you will be celebrated, not just tolerated! We are a Christian church, rooted in Jesus Christ, and we affirm the Apostle's and Nicene Creeds. If you are or were a Catholic, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, or Pentecostal, you will find some of your favorite things here. What you won't find is negative bigotry and condemnation being preached against gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered people. Our faith is founded on the belief that God is life, healing, wisdom, growth, promise, and love.

We believe God created us as we are and we are not required to change in order to be pleasing to God. We believe we are among the "whosoevers" mentioned in John 3:16:

For this is how the Lord loved the world: God gave God's only Son, so that whosoever believes in Jesus may not perish but may have eternal life. For God sent Jesus into the world not to judge the world, but so that through Jesus the world might be saved.  (Quoted using inclusive language)

We provide the sacraments of baptism and holy communion as well as the rites of marriage/holy union for all people, whether gay, straight, bisexual or transgendered.

We also provide healthy social events: camping, game nights, Bingo, bowling, miniature golfing, parties and monthly potlucks (held on the first Sunday of the month following our worship service).

Come learn more and join a healthy, happy family of God. We have been waiting to welcome you!
