Going EverGREEN is a community-based initiative that raises educational and community awareness of the benefits of green and alternative energy. Our mission is to promote the resources and programs available for elementary schools through graduate degree programs about green, clean technology such as solar, wind, thermal, hybrids, and renewable sources. Going EverGREEN believes that education is an essential component in creating a viable energy future. Therefore, we have developed this Directory of Resources to provide a list of alternative energy resources currently available to educators, students, parents, and the overall community. We encourage teachers to leverage these resources within their classrooms to create a future workforce motivated to explore and exploit the opportunities alternative energy provides for business, government, and the Greater Bay Area. We invite you to explore the many types of resources, websites, financial support, and programs available for educators, students, parents, and the greater community. Directory of Resources
The following resources are divided into programs specifically for educators, students, parents, and the community. We are continually adding to and refining this list, so check back frequently. EntrepreneurshipForced Entrepreneurship The economic downturn and resultant layoffs have prompted many former employees to go into business for themselves. We talk with experts and those starting new businesses about the phenomenon some call 'forced entrepreneurship.' http://www.kqed.org/epArchive/R904020900
